This morning, I got a much needed reminder. After indulging in a few extra minutes of sleep (one of the perks of freelancing), I realized I had forgotten about my daughter's doctor's appointment that was 45 minutes away. 🤦🏾‍♀️

I didn’t want to reschedule, because hello time is money, so we went into rush mode. Imagine this - a mom turned race car driver, zipping down the highway, hitting every red light and slow-moving car on the Treasure Coast. Not my proudest moment but my New Yorker instincts kicked in…we had an appointment to make! 🙌🏾

Just when I thought we wouldn't make it, I heard a tiny voice from the backseat. "Mommy, you have to have patience." Suddenly, the world seemed to slow down. It was a gentle reminder from the sweetest soul that sometimes, we need to slow down, breathe, and be patient.

As a fire sign,🔥 I am naturally impatient especially when it comes to achieving things.

This got me thinking - isn't this just like starting a new venture or side gig? We often want immediate success, but the journey to achieving our dreams is a marathon, not a sprint. It's all about taking small, intentional steps every day and being patient with ourselves and the process.

So today I want to remind you to embrace the slow journey towards our dreams, because truth is, it will be slow. Remember, slowing down is not about doing less, but about doing things with intention and mindfulness. It's about making space for the things that truly matter to you.💜

Remember the woman who had dreams, ambitions, and hobbies before those adorable little tyrants came into your life? She's still in there, and she deserves to shine too! 🌟 You are a multifaceted gem, and every side of you is worth celebrating.

So, here's to the mom, who can make a gourmet meal out of random pantry items 🍝, the mom who can find a missing toy in under 5 minutes 🔎, and the mom who can negotiate with a toddler better than a seasoned diplomat! 🤝

But most importantly, here's to YOU - for juggling it all with grace, resilience, and a sense of humor that could rival any one of Blippi’s jokes. 😂 So go ahead, put on that favorite lipstick 💄, shake your booty in your kitchen 🩰, read that book you've been putting off 📚, or start that side gig you've been dreaming about 💻. Because you are more than 'just a mom' - you're an extraordinary woman. And don't you ever forget it! 💜

Flashback to when I was at a crossroads, trying to figure out my next move after deciding network marketing wasn't my path. I craved the comfort of home, being with my toddlers and the joy of creative expression but was unsure how to mold that into a source of income.🤔

Isn't it amusing how divine messages sometimes come from the most unexpected places?

On our way to summer camp, my kids and I were soaking up wisdom from Larry and Bob on the Veggie Tales podcast. Amidst talks of change and AI, Bob the Tomato dropped this beautiful gem: "No matter how much our world changes, God is always with you."

The digital landscape is changing fast...like super speed, so it's natural to worry about AI possibly replacing us freelancers. I sometimes feel it too! But hearing those words today felt like a reassuring nudge from God, reminding me to keep doing what I was called to do.

So here's to a day filled with faith and smiles, and a week that promises to be nothing short of beautiful.

Remember, the talent God has blessed you with is irreplaceable and unique. So let's keep shining, shall we? 🌟

Volunteering at my daughters book fair this morning made my heart feel so full. 💜

Working from home for years without child care hasn't always been easy.

But I wanted to have my cake and eat it too. So I never gave up.🎂

To contribute to my family financially in my own way and on my own schedule has been a blessing that didn't just happen.

I had an idea. I worked on my idea. I made mistakes. Learned from them. Pivoted. Accepted mentorship. And Kept trying some more. That's the journey of working for yourself. 👩🏾‍💻

Having a career that's in alignment with who God made me to be, my talents, and the goals I have for my family means everything to me. 🙏🏽
